You can now create and manage groups directly from the Settings page. Add members to your groups and link projects, data sources, knowledge base pages, and integrations all in one place. Group data sources and integrations are displayed grouped by type for easier scanning, and viewer-role users now correctly see all projects shared with them via group membership.

Instant Schema Updates on Datasource Refresh

Refresh Data on a datasource now immediately picks up newly-added tables and schema changes on the first click. Previously, if a schema cache already existed, the refresh would skip the update and you'd need to wait for the nightly job or manually clear the cache to see new tables. Now the refresh always fetches fresh data from your source.

Amazon Redshift Integration

You can now connect to Amazon Redshift data warehouses directly within Orion. Query, explore, and extract insights from your Redshift data using the same familiar interface you use for your other connected datasources.

Custom Artifact Names in Publishing

When publishing artifacts (Slides, Dashboards, and Reports), you can now specify custom names instead of using auto-generated defaults. This gives you full control over how your published work appears to teammates and stakeholders.

Live Setup Progress and Full Resync for Looker Datasources

When you connect a Looker datasource, a real-time progress card now tracks each setup stage—validation, schema sync, LookML sync, behavioral analysis, AI enrichment, and schema reconcile—so you can see exactly where your datasource is in the connection process.

For existing Looker datasources, a Full Resync button lets you re-run the entire pipeline whenever you need a fresh analysis.

LookML Augmentation for AI-Generated Field Descriptions

Connect your GitHub repository to enable AI-generated field descriptions sourced directly from your LookML semantic layer. These descriptions appear automatically in your schema, giving your team instant access to semantic context without manual documentation work.

Redesigned Schema Tab with Field Description Management

The schema tab now uses a two-panel layout that matches your project schema explorer, with explores and tables on the left and fields on the right.

Field descriptions now show which tier they come from—Source, AI, or Edited—and admins can edit descriptions inline. Overrides persist across every refresh, so your customizations stay in place.

AI Descriptions Toggle

Admins can now disable AI descriptions per-datasource with a simple on/off toggle. When you re-enable AI descriptions later, they restore instantly from cached enrichment data without requiring a full source re-fetch.

Microsoft Fabric Warehouse Integration

Microsoft Fabric Warehouse can now be added as a data source, enabling analysis on data stored in Fabric's enterprise data warehouse. Connect your Fabric data and start generating insights immediately.

On-Demand Analytics Libraries

Orion notebooks can now pull in specialized analytical libraries on demand—such as yfinance for stock and ETF market data, prophet for time series forecasting, or statsmodels for statistical modeling.

Pending Workflow Visibility

You can now see newly created workflows on your project board immediately, even before they've been run for the first time.

Pending workflows display with a clock icon and a "Run Now" button in the workflow details panel, letting you execute them manually or delete them without leaving the board.

Tabbed Project View with Shared and Private Content

Organize your project content more intuitively with a tabbed view that separates shared content (Metrics, Workflows, etc) from your private work. This makes it easier to manage what you're collaborating on versus what you're still exploring.

Shared vs. Private Content Controls

All metrics, workflows, and reports you create are now private by default — visible only to you in your personal "Yours" tab.

Admins and project owners can manage visibility for any content on the Shared board, while analysts can control visibility for content they've created. This gives everyone a personal workspace to explore freely without cluttering the team's shared view.

When you're ready to share something with your team, promote it to the Shared board with a single click.

Orion's Proactive Content on the Shared Board

Content that Orion generates autonomously is now automatically added to the Shared board so your whole team benefits immediately.

These items are clearly labeled with a "Suggested" badge so you always know what Orion created versus what a teammate published. You can hide or remove any suggested content you don't need.

Confidence-Based Analysis with Assumption Clarification

Orion now thinks more effectively by scaling its reasoning effort to match the complexity of each question. When Orion cannot confirm a data definition or filter value, it asks you before running analysis rather than proceeding on a guess.

Orion now learns your communication preferences and adapts its style automatically across all conversations. At the start of each conversation, the system reads your preferences from memory and adjusts how it communicates with you.

When you signal a preference for a different style, Orion updates its understanding automatically—no configuration or manual setup required. The system continuously improves as it learns your preferences over time.

Project Ownership with Transfer and Access Control

Projects now have a designated owner who controls membership and sharing. As a project owner, you can transfer ownership to another user directly from project settings or the share modal, and only you (or admins) can invite or remove team members.

The home page now clearly separates your own projects from those shared with you, making it easy to see what you own versus what others have shared.

Knowledge Base Page Locking and Creator-Owned Reviews

Knowledge Base page creators can now lock their pages to require review before changes go live. When you lock a page, edits from other team members are submitted as change requests that you can approve or reject directly from the editor—the same powerful review workflow previously available only to admins. You'll also receive email notifications when changes are submitted and a daily digest of pending reviews.

Chat Within Published Artifacts

Subscribe Team Members to Workflow Notifications

Invite other project members to receive notifications when specific workflows complete. You can now manage subscriptions for your teammates directly, ensuring the right people stay informed about results that matter to them.

Knowledge Base Pages Influence Workflow Results

Knowledge Base pages used in the original analysis are now be referenced and used to influence scheduled workflows. This provides richer context, definitions, and guidelines that shape how your recurring workflow analyses execute and what results they produce.

Wiki Knowledge Base Approval Workflow

Team members can now submit edits to Knowledge Base pages through a structured approval process, track the status of their submissions from a dedicated panel, and receive email notifications when changes are reviewed.

Admins get a full review dashboard with side-by-side diffs, risk indicators, bulk actions, and change history—making it easy to manage knowledge base updates at scale. Orion automatically assesses the significance of the changes using a set of risk criteria, auto-approving minor formatting fixes while flagging significant rewrites for careful review.

Datasource Schema Management

You can now browse and manage your connected datasource schemas directly within Orion. The schema page displays tables, columns, relationships, and fields for SQL, Looker, and Power BI datasources, complete with an interactive ER diagram for SQL sources. You can enable or disable individual entities from the AI context, giving you precise control over which data the system can access during analysis.

Customizable Metric Card Layout

Notebook Analysis

The wait is over — literally. Orion now performs comprehensive data analysis directly in chat. Ask a question, and Orion queries your connected sources, extracts the data, and executes code in a live notebook panel alongside the chat. You see every step as it happens: each extraction, each cell, each chart. Redirect at any point, interrupt long-running operations, or dig deeper into a specific finding without leaving the thread.

This replaces the old model where comprehensive analysis meant kicking off a background job and waiting 20-30 minutes for results. Now the conversation is the workspace – with the same accuracy and reliability as before.

When you're ready to generate a deliverable, Orion has already been pre-building it in the background during the analysis — so your report, slides, or dashboard build even faster.

You can also export any notebook as a .py script or .ipynb Jupyter file, and download extracted datasets as CSV — so your work is always portable. If you have existing analyses from Deep Analysis, you can migrate any of them into a live notebook with a single click and pick up where the original left off.

Two new live data connectors are now available for enriching analysis: connect a Weather source (no API key required) or to our provided News API, and Orion will pull real-time weather conditions and news context directly into your notebook.

Pinned Metrics

Track the KPIs that matter most by pinning them directly to your project. Create a metric tile by asking Orion in chat. Metrics support a range of formats: single numbers, currency values, percentages, and full data tables with rich chart visualizations including bar, pie, heatmap, scatter, stacked, and combo charts.

Pinned metrics appear at the top of your project and are always visible to Orion's context — so when you ask "what's my revenue this week?" Orion answers instantly without making an extra query. Each metric has a detail view showing historical values over time, a run schedule, visibility controls (private, shared, or published), and health status tracking.

Interactive Dashboards

When you complete an analysis, you can ask Orion to produce beautiful, interactive, and fully customizable dashboards – in addition to the existing report and slides options.

Any output — dashboard, slides, or report — can now be published to a custom share URL and sent to your team. Set a human-readable slug (e.g. /share/q4-marketing-summary), and anyone with project access can view the published artifact without needing the original conversation. When paired with Launchbooks, published outputs update automatically on the schedule you set.

Scheduled Notebooks

Once you've iterated on an analysis and landed on a workflow you trust, save the notebook to re-run on a scheduled basis and deliver results in your preferred format — a weekly slide deck, a daily report to your inbox, or a dashboard that refreshes on demand.

Subscribe to any saved notebook to receive email notifications when new outputs are ready. This closes the loop between exploration and automation: start in chat, iterate until the analysis is right, then set it and forget it.

Knowledge Base Supports GitHub, Confluence, and Notion

You can now connect GitHub, Confluence, and Notion directly to your Knowledge Base and import pages using a built-in file browser. Choose Read & Write to bring content in as a fully editable page, or Link & Sync to keep it automatically updated from the source. Synced pages display a sync badge in the editor and a manual sync button for pulling in changes on demand.

This means your technical docs, product specs, runbooks, and company wikis can flow directly into Orion's context without manual copy-paste — keeping the knowledge Orion draws on current with the source of truth.

Dark Mode

Orion now fully supports dark mode across the entire product. Every surface — chat, the Analysis Notebook, data extraction cards, dashboards, slides, reports, the Knowledge Base editor, and all chart types — adapts to your system preference or a manual toggle in settings. Charts update reactively when you switch themes, so your visualizations always look right whether you're working in light or dark.

Multimodal Document Support

You can now upload JPEG and PNG images directly in chat alongside documents. Orion can view images and graphics and incorporate what it sees into the analysis context — useful for sharing screenshots, charts from external tools, design mockups, or any visual data you want Orion to reason about.

Connect your dbt Cloud environment directly to your workspace by providing your account credentials and environment ID. Your dbt model metadata syncs automatically, giving you instant access to your production dbt definitions alongside your other data sources.

As you work, Orion can suggest improvements, make direct edits to Wiki pages, and help evolve your Knowledge Base over time, turning it into a living source of truth that gets smarter with every conversation.

Project Memory Management

Manage memories directly within your project settings with a dedicated Memories tab. Search memories by name or content, filter by user, and delete memories you no longer need.

Memory-Aware Query Construction

Orion now searches memories formed within a project before constructing data source queries, applying previously learned information about field naming conventions and filter values. This reduces mistakes and ensures consistent query patterns across your analysis work.

News & Weather Data for Analysis

When analyzing unexpected patterns in your data, Orion can now search news articles and historical weather data to identify external factors that may explain anomalies—such as severe weather events, labor strikes, supply chain disruptions, or regulatory changes that impacted your operations.

Export Slides as PDF

You can now export Orion’s generated slide decks as PDFs for fast sharing. The PDF format preserves fonts, colors, styling, and layout with a clean 16:9 aspect ratio, making it easy to share presentations across different platforms.

PowerPoint exports are now faster and more reliable, with better support for complex styling including custom fonts, gradients, and rich text formatting. All exported slides remain fully editable in PowerPoint so you can make adjustments after download.

Improved Memory Control in Deep Analysis

During deep analysis setup, you can now see the memories that influence the analysis instructions and insight report formatting.

Each memory displays with a delete option, allowing you to remove context that no longer applies to your analysis. When you remove a memory, Orion automatically updates your analysis instructions to reflect the change.

Data Processing Bug Fixes

A bug was identified that could cause SQL queries used in Deep Analysis to use unintended LIMIT clauses, ultimately restricting the data available for analysis.

This fix ensures unintentional LIMIT clauses are removed during Deep Analysis so that the full (applicable) dataset is loaded for accurate results.

Project Deletion Fixes

When you delete a project, all associated memories and user notifications are now properly removed from the system. Similarly, when a user is removed from a project, their analysis notifications for that project are automatically disassociated, preventing outdated notifications from appearing.

Interactive Clarifying Questions

Setting up comprehensive, high quality analyses is now faster and more intuitive with multiple-choice clarifying questions.

When Orion needs more information to scope your analysis, you'll see structured options (A/B/C/D style) that you can answer with a simple click, or provide your own custom response when needed. This streamlines the setup process and helps ensure your analysis is properly scoped from the start.

Data Scope Awareness Badges

SQL query results now display visual indicators when they contain data-limiting constraints like LIMIT clauses, date ranges, or sampling.

These badges appear in the query header and expand to show detailed constraint information, preventing you from misinterpreting partial results as complete datasets. For example, you'll immediately see if results are limited to 30 rows or filtered to a specific date range, helping you draw accurate conclusions from your data when Orion provides quick answers.

Snowflake Query Auto-Fix Support

SQL query validation and auto-fix functionality now works with Snowflake datasources, not just BigQuery. When a query returns zero rows, Orion can automatically suggest and apply fixes to help you get meaningful results.

Automatic SQL Query Recovery

Queries that return zero rows due to incorrect filter values now automatically recover. The system extracts the filter conditions from your query, looks up the actual values in your database, and intelligently rewrites the query with corrected values using fuzzy matching. This eliminates silent failures when filter values don't exactly match your data.

Insight Report Improvements

This release fixes a bug that occasionally removed mixed value columns in some report tables during the final validation and QA. Reports now load the correct tables even when your dataset contains tables with overlapping names or mixed value columns.
